Our first vacation together!
We flew into Sea-Tac Friday morning and started out our trip by snacking on some fried chicken and crabcakes (more crabbyness!) at Kingfish Cafe before heading off to Vancouver. After ~2 hours on the road, and some wrong lane antics at the border crossing, we arrived at the lovely Sutton Place Hotel.
The location was perfect as it was right in the heart of downtown – a block away from the lively Robson Street, and also right in front of the Japadog hot dog cart! Yum!
We pretty much ended up pigging out the 2 days we were in Vancouver… some notable highlights: beef carpaccio at Guu Izakaya, the miso-pork dog w/daikon at Japadog, the ramen at Kintaro, the dungeness crab/dim sum at Sun Sui Wah Seafood Restaurant, the brie/capicola and wine at Salt Tasting Room, and the private picnic of champagne/strawberries/procuitto/cheese & crackers that we enjoyed in bed!
We capped off the trip with one night in Seattle including a romantic din din at the top of the Space Needle and a walking food tour of Pike Place Market. On to the next adventure…
