The morning routine!

Here’s Daren’s typical morning routine (for now):

• ~6:00 am: Daren wakes up in our bed (we put him to sleep in his own crib each night, but move him over to our bed when he wakes up crying around midnight)
• 6:01 – 6:30 am: He rolls around, makes noise, and taps us on our head until we wake up
• 6:30 – 7:30 am: We change his diaper, and let him loose to play in his room
• 7:30 am: I prepare his breakfast (usually some combo of oatmeal, avocado, fresh fruit, and some bread)
• 7:45 – 8:30 am: keep trying to feed him his breakfast…
• 8:30 – 9:30 am: more play time in the living room
• 9:30 am: grandma comes to help take care of Daren

Daren loves to play so much in the morning that by the time grandma comes over, he’s ready for his morning nap! I usually head out of the house after that, and go for a run and/or grab a coffee at starbucks.

My first meeting usually starts around 11am, so i have plenty of time in the morning before I start my day 🙂
