Today was a pretty huge work milestone!
Over the past 2+ years, we have been developing software to help improve the communication and efficiency of operating rooms in hospitals.
Today marks our first installation of the SCONE software at an actual location, SOAR Medical center in Burlingame!
While not a traditional hospital, SOAR is an ASC (ambulatory surgery center) that specializes in sports-related operations. They will be using our software platform at their Burlingame location as a trial to help track patient throughput.
Myself, along with David (CEO), Ed (Head of Product), and Andre (Head iOS Engineer), were on-site to help with the initial setup and launch. We installed a shared iPad station, placed various printed materials around the office, and helped staff with any software support issues with our mobile phone application for the first day. I can’t begin to tell you how great it was to see the staff using our application in a real operating area setting!
After a successful launch, we celebrated and went to the Giants game!
Hopefully this is just the start of more things to come!
