This weekend we had a staycation at the Palace Hotel in downtown San Francisco!
The downtown location is great for shopping (the Westfield mall is just 2 blocks away), and lots of food choices in the area (Ippudo ramen, Ghiradelli Store, Super Duper burger are all within walking distance just to name a few).
It was our first time here, and we all loved it! The hotel has a magnificent indoor atrium where they serve a breakfast buffet. The details inside the
Daren loves to swim, and the combo indoor pool and hot tub was perfect for him!
We also love that Ippudo ramen is right around the corner!
Jordan loves his noodles, so he enjoyed it the most! Nothing beats a good bowl of ramen, shishito peppers, and an ice cold beer! Yum!
There’s also a Ghiradelli store on the ground floor, so ice cream sundaes are just a walk away!
We ended up picking up a couple of hot fudge sundaes and enjoyed them in the hotel atrium.
Overall rating: 8/10
Pros:
- Brunch buffet in the beautiful atrium (priority for hotel guests)
- Indoor pool and hot tub
- Lots of food options and shopping nearby
Cons:
- The parking fee is $50 a night. ouch!
- The streets outside the hotel get pretty rough at night… during the day is no problem
