Daren and I went to our very first basketball game together at the brand new Chase Center in Mission bay today! We got to see the almighty Golden State Warriors vs. the Orlando Magic!

Bel was able to get some last minute tickets to the game from her old co-worker who wasn’t able to use them. because it was so last minute, when we arrived to the stadium the game was already underway.

This was our first time at the stadium since it just finished construction last year. Everything was new and looked really modern! We also parked at Bel’s old parking garage using her GAP entry pass which was really handy because it was literally right across the street and free!

The seats were absolutely fantastic as we sat down in the lower level, section 121, row 6, seat 9. We were practically behind the basket!

There were lot’s of food to choose from inside the new stadium! We bought a hot dog, chicken tenders, french fries, apple juice, and gatorade to share!

We sat down in our seats and started to enjoy the game! Daren loved his hot dog and finished the whole thing right down to the last bite!

Despite the Warriors almost winning the championship last season (We lost 2-4 to the Toronto Raptors), this season is totally forgettable.

The Golden State of old just expected to pile up victories — and now things are completely the opposite with Kevin Durant having departed for Brooklyn and Splash Brothers Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson sidelined. (Klay is out for the year from an ACL tear, and Steph is currently out with a broken hand). At the moment, the Warriors are last place in the West with a record of 10-34. Yikes!

In this game, D’Angelo Russell scored 26 points and dished out a season-high 12 assists, and the Warriors snapped their longest losing streak in nearly 18 years at 10 games by beating the Orlando Magic 109-95.

We had a great time, despite Daren bumping his head on the railing as we were heading outside after the game was over. Ouch!

We’ll be back! Hopefully Bel and Jordan can join us next time!
