When Amazon recently announced a promo on their site that all outdoor grills were 20% off, that was enough of a reason to pick one up! After some research, I finally settled on the Weber Performer grill. I highly recommend this grill if you like the taste of charcoal, and also like the idea of just pushing a button to start it up. Hardly any mess at all!
The selling points:
- It uses charcoal (I love the flavor it gives)
- Gas igniter – no need for a chimney starter or lighter fluid
- Built-in table – obviously any table next to the grill would work just as well, but the built-in design is very elegant IMO
- Drawer under the table for storage – holds a regular bag of charcoal
- Overall, a nice sized grill (22″ diameter)
In addition, we bought a Japanese grilling cookbook “The Japanese Grill”, and the results were delicious! We made chicken yakitori, grilled shishito peppers & asparagus, sliced tomato & onion with wafu dressing, and a watermelon & mint salad!
Hopefully the sun will decide to come out more often this summer so we can get our money’s worth outta this grill! 🙂
