The Nike SNKRS app is one of the only ways to obtain highly sought after nike shoes on release day. It’s also notoriously known for you to lose (or, take L’s as the kids call it, haha). The app works like a raffle, where it randomly picks winners to buy the shoe. Fortunately, luck was on our side as John and I were both selected for in-store pickup of the Jordan 11 Retro Breds! This particular shoe last came out in 2012, and the average selling price of this shoe is about $350 on StockX. (Retail $220)

It was both of our first times picking up the shoe in person, so I was curious to how the whole process went. On the day of the pickup, we both made our way to Niketown in downtown SF. When we arrived, there was a small line that formed along the side of the building. As we made our way to the front of the line, a Nike employee scanned both of our ticket barcodes in the Nike app. After that, it was just a quick escalator ride up to the first floor of the store where a cashier rang up both of our orders.

Overall, a pretty smooth process!

We were both happy with our new shoes! I’m not sure whether or not I’ll keep it, or sell for profit yet… but for now, I’m happy with the win!
