Leaving Salesforce to join a start-up was probably one of the hardest decisions (financially) that I’ve had to make in a long time. Fortunately, joining a team headed by some of my former Yahoo colleagues made that decision that much easier. Plus, the fact that I could work remotely from home was the deal clincher! I love that I’ll be able to work from home full-time and also be around to help out with the baby anytime if needed.
For the past ~6 months our company was operating out of a cramped cubicle office space (keeping true to a startup environment I guess). That all changed today, as our company finally moved into a new office building! I flew down to visit the team and check out the office space in person and it’s really nice! We now have almost a whole floor to ourselves! The office is located in Century City, and there’s a lot of food choices in the area; the Westfield mall is right across the street, and there’s a sports bar on the ground level of our building so that’s pretty handy. Hopefully there will be a lot of team-building get-togethers there in the near future when I’m in town 🙂
