Although it was a cold and stormy weekend, buns and I managed to get a lot done and have a good time while we were at it. We tried a new recipe on Friday night and enjoyed a delectable grilled salmon topped with a homemade dill sauce. The skin was extra crispy (imagine fried pork skin), the meat was cooked just right, and the dill sauce was thoroughly refreshing! After that, we made a second attempt to make multi-layered finger jello. Haha, yes, it IS more difficult than baking bread from scratch – there is an exact science to get those suckers to gelatinize at the right time so the layers stick!
The rest of the weekend consisted of watching youtube kid music videos with Micah and responding to his perpetual “but why…”s, and playing fetch with Choco (yes, inside the house due to the weather). As for Saturday night, Pizzeria Delfina + good ol’ friends + gelato = Perfection. Delfina never fails to disappoint and neither does the company of long time friends! Till next time…
