This was our first time lodging inside Yosemite National Park, and it’s easy to say that it won’t be our last!
Here’s a quick video recap of our vacation at Yosemite National park:
Bucket list item checked off!
Bel has always wanted to stay at the Ahwahnee hotel (a bucket list item checked off!), so we splurged a bit and booked an outdoor cottage room!

The cottages are basically a stand-alone private cabin thats separate from the hotel but located right outside. You get your own living space with a bed, bathroom, heater (important in the fall winter), and a small private patio area if you want to sit outside. Although the furnishings are a bit dated, the location of the hotel inside the park was definitely worth it!
Nothing like kicking back in the outdoors with a can of brew!

We brought the kid’s bikes and were so glad that we did. Everything inside the park was accessible with bicycles, especially since traffic seemed to back up during the day so it was easy to just blow past everyone on the bike lanes.

We also booked the Yosemite Valley tour and the kids loved it! It’s easy to forget how beautiful nature is when you live in an urban city. I’m so glad we took a break from our busy work schedules to plan some time to relax and unwind.

I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location!

Also, it just so happened that my brother was camping with his friends during the same weekend!
I managed to step away for a few hours to grab some drinks with them at Curry Village, and then they treated me to some grilled Kalbi at their campsite. There’s just something about eating BBQ while camping. Nothing can beat it!

We had so much fun during this trip that we plan to go again soon! Maybe even an annual trip!
There were so many great pictures and fun moments, it was hard to capture it all.
See you soon Yosemite! Until next time!
