Monday 3/30

Week 3 here we go!

Daren has been starting us off each morning with the pledge of allegiance!

The morning homework and zoom meetings have been going smooth for the most part.

Uncle John stopped by this evening to drop off a gift for Jordan’s birthday tomorrow!

The kids were very excited to see him!

Tuesday 3/31

Today is Jordan’s 4th birthday!

For Jordan’s zoom call this morning, teacher Christine and some of Jordan’s classmates wished him a happy birthday!

Daren also had a great day! After his zoom lesson, he made Jordan a home-made birthday card!

Jordan was really excited that we we were having a birthday cake after dinner! I created a separate post for the occasion!

Wednesday 4/1

Today, after the morning zoom classes…

We went outside for a walk to the park to get some fresh air and a lot of running!

Thursday 4/2

Another day, another zoom…

Here’s how a typical morning schedule has been looking this week:

  • 9:00 am: Daren starts us off with the pledge of allegiance
  • 9:05 am: Daily Schedule (write down today’s month/day/date, season, and current weather outside)
  • 9:15 – 9:45: Some initial homework, study pages, math
  • 10:00 – 11:00: Daren’s class zoom meeting
  • 11:00 – 11:30 am: Jordan’s class zoom meeting
  • 11:30 – 12:00 pm: break
  • 12:00 pm: Lunch!
  • 1:00 – 5:00 pm: Some combination of homework, running around, snack time, reading, and iPad time…

Friday 4/3

It’s funny hat Friday for Daren’s class!

Daren chose to wear his firefighter hat to his class zoom. There were some other pretty awesome hats all-around!

Jordan has been very active in his zoom calls each morning with teacher Christine.

It’s great to see him engaged and participating in class, even if it’s only a 30 min session!

After the zoom calls, Jordan took a great nap!

Later in the evening, the kids baked chocolate chip cookies and played card games at the table!

Saturday 4/4

Today, we decided to take a quick drive to Yummy Dumpling on Irving Street to buy some frozen dumplings. Yummy Dumpling isn’t a traditional restaurant, but rather a store-front that just sells frozen hand-made dumplings.

We bought enough dumplings (12 bags!) to share with my dad, Hansen & Becky, and Gung-Gung and Po-Po.

Our freezer is pretty packed right now!

Sunday 4/5

That’s a wrap for week 3!

Daren and Jordan have both been watching a lot of pokemon cartoons on netflix recently. Daren’s favorite thing to do on the weekends is to wake up early, turn on the tv, and watch pokemon all morning. Jordan doesn’t seem to interested in it, but I was surprised that he knew a few pokemon characters like pikachu.

It’s really cute to hear them talk about their favorite characters!
