Every so often, you read something that takes you back, and makes you pause and reflect if only for a minute.

The other day, I ran across a thread online on reddit where a teenager posted about a really close relative passing away from Covid-19. He was broken, feeling completely lost and didn’t know what to do next in life.

This particular response in the thread was incredible:

The torch that lit you is now resting.

You are now the lit torch.

You inherited the fire.

Keep it burning, keep it alive, and light other torches the way you were lit up.

For a torch will have to rest soon or late.

But the fire it once held must survive.

In other words, stay strong and have the right done right.

Amazing.

We are all destined to leave this earth at some point.

My hope, is that the fire will remain burning for generations to come.
